With about 6 weeks until we meet our little man, I am so excited to finally be done with and share Baby H’s nursery! I absolutely love designing and decorating, and this was and will probably always be my favorite design project ever – my first baby’s first room! This is despite the fact that I think I exchanged or had some major issue for some reason or another with just about every single thing – that’s a story for a different day. It was all worth it because I could not love the end result any more. Seriously, if I am feeling a little down or having a bad day, I just go hang out in here for a few minutes and I instantly feel better. I feel so happy that I will be able to watch him grow in here.
I am obsessed with this bedding! Since the walls are blue and the crib is grey, I wanted to keep it light and simple so that nothing was overbearing or clashed.
This picture is my favorite thing in the entire nursery. I found it really early on in pregnancy, and pretty much designed the space around it. “Where the Wild Things Are” is my all-time favorite children’s book. I can’t wait to dress Baby H up as Max for Halloween one day!
This lamb rocker was the first thing I purchased for Baby. Although it’ll probably get really gross and ruined, I will never, ever get rid of it.
We’re not revealing Baby H’s name until he’s here, so I debated taking down the initials around his room for these photos. Being in the home stretch, I figured a little hint couldn’t hurt. Feel free to guess away, but we’re still not telling! 🙂 (It’s NOT Nicholas.) But now you know that Baby H is actually Baby N.
It was really important to me that the room reflected my own personal style while still being fit for a baby. A fancy rocking chair was one way to make that happen.
How cute are these baby animal prints? I didn’t want to have a nursery “theme,” so I carefully selected elements that would tie everything together throughout the room.
It was the biggest joy putting this room together. I know it’ll only get more full of stuff, love, and messiness, and I can’t wait!
